El Charro began operation in Tucson, Arizona in 1922.
They feature truly authentic Sonoran Mexican style food including barbacoa, carne seca, tortilla soup, and posole.
Prices around lunch time are about $10 per plate including drink and all the extras. For dinner, you can have a very filling meal for around $18.
At El Charro, they will tell you "We are not the best because we are the oldest... we are the oldest because we are the best."
There are locations near downtown, central near Park Mall, and north near Tucson mall.
